1. Agreement to terms

These terms govern your access to and use of ExamVault’s website, apps, and other services (collectively, “Services”). By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you’re under 18, you confirm you have a parent or guardian’s permission. We may refuse or suspend access at our discretion.

3. Account registration

• You sign in via Google. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account.
• Provide accurate information during onboarding—your name, photo, subjects, and board.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. License & restrictions

We grant you a limited, revocable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial study purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Services.
• Use the Services to build a competing product.
• Modify or distribute ExamVault code or content.
• Bypass security measures or use bots/scripts.

5. User-generated content

You keep ownership of notes, flashcards, chat messages, and uploads. By submitting content, you grant us a license to host, display, and improve the Services. You warrant you have rights to all content you share.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass or threaten other users or staff.
• Upload harmful or illegal content.
• Engage in any abuse or misuse of the platform.

7. Subscription & billing

We offer free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You authorize us to charge your payment method. No pro-rated refunds except where required by law.

8. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time via settings.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, with or without notice.
• On termination, your right to use the Services ends and we may delete your data per our retention policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, ExamVault is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ExamVault and its affiliates harmless from any claims arising from your breach of these terms or your use of the Services.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these terms at any time. We’ll post the revised terms here with a new “Last updated” date and may notify you via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated terms.
